Rangers re-sign F Dawes

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Rangers have agreed to terms on a contract with restricted free agent forward Nigel Dawes, the club announced Wednesday.

Dawes, 23, registered 14 goals and 15 assists in 61 games last season for the Rangers, leading the club with a plus-11 rating. The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder had two goals and two assists, appearing in all 10 of New York's playoff contests last season.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native, was a fifth round selection by the Rangers in the 2003 Draft and has amassed 30 points in 69 career NHL games.
