Mavs re-sign Wright

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks re-signed guard/forward Antoine Wright on Friday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Wright was acquired by Dallas in the deal with New Jersey that brought Jason Kidd to the Mavericks. In 56 games last season, the 24-year-old averaged 6.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
"We are excited that Antoine will be returning to Dallas next season," said president of basketball operations/general manager Donnie Nelson. "He is an emerging young prospect with tremendous promise. With his youth, athleticism and talent, he has a very bright future in Dallas.
The former All-Big 12 performer at Texas A&M has career averages of 4.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists after being selected 15th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Nets.
